The Mead Area Community Foundation (MACF) was founded in October 1998 by a group of community members devoted to the improvement of life in the Mead Area through philanthropy, leadership, and strengthening of community.
MACF started out with the goal of being the "community savings account" for the area's future generations. Since that humble beginning, the fund has grown, become a part of the Longmont Community Foundation and Denver Community Foundation.
MACF is a collection of individual funds and resources given by local citizens to enhance and support the quality of life in the great Mead community. It is a nonprofit organization entitling donors to tax deductions that can often be more favorable than those accorded private foundation donors. MACF offers advised funds, designated funds, field of interest funds and unrestricted funds.
